Free AI metadata remover for JPEG, PNG and WebP. Inspect and clean supported EXIF, GPS and generation data locally. Metadata cleanup does not guarantee AI detector results.
Metadata cleanup ≠ AI detection removal. This tool does not change image pixels or remove invisible watermarks. No detector results are guaranteed.
Open an image to inspect supported camera details, location tags, software and generation parameters.
Select metadata blocks to remove. Image pixels and color profiles stay intact; necessary orientation is kept.
Review the before-and-after metadata, then save a separate copy. Your original stays untouched.
Looking to “remove AI detection from image”? Start by understanding what metadata cleanup actually does.
No. Metadata is information attached to a file. AI detectors may also analyze the pixels. Removing metadata does not prove an image is a real photograph, change its visual appearance, or guarantee any detector result.
Recognized EXIF blocks (including GPS, camera details and embedded thumbnails), XMP, PNG text such as generation parameters, JPEG comments and supported application blocks. Selection is by metadata block, not individual field. Orientation and color profiles are retained. Unknown PNG chunks are preserved, so this is not a guarantee that every possible metadata format is removed.
This tool does not remove pixel-based watermarks such as SynthID. Removing embedded provenance information may invalidate content credentials; it does not erase other copies or associations with the image.
The inspection and cleaning run in your browser. Image bytes and extracted metadata are not sent to a server or saved in browser storage. Closing or resetting the tool releases its image references. Your original file is never overwritten.
You can remove supported AI metadata from an image, but that does not guarantee a different AI detector result. Remove AI Detection From Image is a free image metadata viewer and cleaner: inspect EXIF, GPS, software tags and generation parameters, select blocks, then download a copy.
| Information | Supported action | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| EXIF / GPS | View common fields; remove EXIF blocks | Necessary orientation stays; no GPS-only editing |
| XMP, PNG text and generation parameters | Preview and remove supported blocks | Only information present in the file can be shown |
| Pixel features and invisible watermarks | Not modified by this tool | No guaranteed detector or platform-label result |
Remove AI Detection From Image is a free browser-local image metadata inspector and cleaner for JPEG, PNG and WebP. It removes selected supported metadata blocks without re-encoding image pixels. It does not remove pixel-based watermarks or guarantee AI detector results.
